Subtract

The Subtract series was thoughtfully designed through the act of removing or subtracting from the forms to bring out elements of the materials. Subtract carefully balances two very different materials, concrete and hand-finished plastic resin with a sphere removed from both that brings the two into conversation. The illumination is a 12V LED that brightens the room with 250 lumens through the hand-sanded resin diffuser, The concrete base is hand-sanded and sealed to preserve the surface and bring out the natural attractiveness of the material.
